No que toca às directrizes políticas internacionais e da legislação em vigor em Portugal, a Educação deve ser Inclusiva, de modo a proporcionar igualdade de oportunidades e de participação a todos os alunos. Contudo, as práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas por professores nem sempre cumprem os objectivos da Educação Inclusiva (e.g. Düring, 2006; Rodrigues, 2006), admitindo-se um desfasamento entre crenças inclusivas e práticas desenvolvidas (e.g., Jordan, Shwartz &amp; McGhie-Richmond, 2009; Watkins, 2007). O presente estudo exploratório procura analisar em que medida o conjunto de crenças e atitudes que os professores possuem sobre a Educação Inclusiva se relaciona com as suas práticas pedagógicas utilizadas em sala de aula regular. Para cumprir tal objectivo, construiu-se um instrumento composto por duas escalas tipo Likert e por dois problemas de resposta aberta sobre as crenças, atitudes e práticas inclusivas. According to the international guidelines and to the Portuguese legislation, Education must be Inclusive, promoting equal opportunities and equal participation of all students. However, teachers‟ practices, quite often, do not correspond to the main values of Inclusive Education (e.g. Düring, 2006; Rodrigues, 2006). Furthermore, there is a serious cleave between inclusive beliefs and the practices which are developed (e.g., Jordan, Shwartz &amp; McGhie-Richmond, 2009; Watkins, 2007). The present study endeavors to analyze if the beliefs and attitudes about Inclusive Education are related to the pedagogical practices used by regular teachers. To fulfill this propose, an instrument formed by two Likert scales and two open-answer problems about inclusive beliefs, attitudes and practices was conceived.
