Resumo: This current dissertation of theory and practice, Journeys | From Photography whilst a possibility of Place, has been developed around the question whether photography can be understood whilst an idea of place for the individuals that relate to it. That is, it is sought to determine whether the way the subject processes its connections to the photographic can get closer to the way the subject develops its idea of place. With the purpose of finding answers to this question, on the one hand, a reflection was made on the concept and qualities of place and how the individual builds himself an experience of place, and secondly, a study directed more to matters of Photographic nature, for a better understanding of how individuals, be they authors or viewers of images, develop practical, viewing and reading / interpreting photography. Assuming that the places are created through experience between the subject and the space that surrounds it, it was also understood that the photographic practice is developed by the same ratio. Like the construction of places, to do and to see photography are modes of relationship and experience between the subject and his photographic subject, between the subject and the photographic images. This relationship made of distances and /or approximations of the subject to the object of his attention, translates into movements, real or virtual, that here were understood to be near an idea of travel. It is therefore from this relationship and the consequent movements, which will enable or not the possibility of the photograph be thought of as a construction site for the subject with whom it interacts
