Abstract: Miquel Barcelò installed a huge ceramic panel in La SEU Cathedral in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The article debates the creative process of themes from the Gospel iconography "Multipli¬cation of the loaves and fishes" and "Marriage at Cana" using the transformation of ceramic material as a metaphor. That goes beyond the religious significance of the work, to embed "Mar de Tierra" in the art field
