Abstract

This dissertation aims to contribute to the construction of the concept of Intelligent Wall, based, more broadly, on the understanding of the different elements that constitute the scope of the Ambient Intelligence, with particular emphasis on the areas of Interactivity, Ubiquitous Computing, Pervasive Computing and Mobile Computing. We also consider the conceptual and material resources which allow exploring and defining applications in the field of Ambient Intelligence applied to architectural structures. This study intends to assess the situation of the concepts and practices related to Intelligent Walls, as well as to facilitate the involvement of new technological resources in the field of Architecture/Civil Engineering, as an extension of the exploratory work carried out within the context of artistic creation
