Título: As pontes da ficção de Autran Dourado

Resumo: Esta dissertação nasceu da constatação de que a obra do escritor brasileiro Autran Dourado é eminentemente dialógica, sendo atravessada por múltiplas referências que continuamente perturbam a leitura. Pretendeu-se compreender e descrever as ligações que se estabelecem com outras obras literárias, de diferentes épocas e proveniências, mas também a nível interno, ou seja, com a própria obra do autor. Depois de construído um suporte teórico que sustentasse a hipótese de trabalho, numa primeira parte, analisaram-se os processos e os mecanismos em que se escora a transtextualidade da obra autraniana. Assim, estudaram-se a paratextualidade, a intertextualidade e a hipertextualidade, não deixando de assinalar os aspectos que implicitamente problematizam a metatextualidade e a arquitextualidade. Os textos de Autran, profundamente palimpsestuosos – neologismo aprendido em Gérard Genette – percorrem todos estes tipos de relações, mas com gradações diferentes. Na segunda parte, tomou-se a personagem João da Fonseca Nogueira como caso paradigmático destas relações, verdadeiro operador de transtextualidade. Verificou-se a forma como esta figura se inscreve na obra, analisando os processos colocados ao serviço da sua construção, perspetivando-a sempre em função da macronarrativa. Explorou-se também a relação que se estabelece entre esta personagem e o ofício literário, tomando-a como metáfora, tal como preconiza Autran Dourado. Por fim, apurou-se o quanto de biográfico terá sido colocado na sua conceção, ou pelo menos na escolha de determinadas vivências que João da Fonseca Nogueira protagoniza.This essay was born from the assertion that the Autran Dourado’s work, a brazilian writer, is extremely dialogic, being crossed for multiples references that continuously disturb its reading. It has been our intend to understand and to explain the connections that are established with another literary works, from different times and from different places, but also, in an inner stage, with the self author’s work. After had built a theoretical support to sustain our essay’s hypothesis, in a first part of our study, we analysed the processes and the mechanisms by which the transtextuality of Autran’s books is uphold. That way we studied questions that are related with paratextuality, intertextuality and hipertextuality, not without put emphasis on aspects that utterly scrutinize metatextuality and arquitextuality, terms that were quoted from Gérard Genette. Autran texts are deeply “palimpsestuousus” – neologism also learned with Genette – and scroll all kinds of these text relations in different levels. In the second part of our essay, we took the character João da Fonseca Nogueira as a paradigmatic case of these topics, a true transtextuality operator. We tried to check how this character is inscribed at the novels, studying the processes that are put on his construction, always focused on macro narrative. It was also studied the link between João and writer’s metier, indeed he is taken as a metaphor such as Autran Dourado realizes characters on his book. Finally it has been investigated how much of biographic traces were put on his conception, or at least in the choice of some experiences that are lived by João da Fonseca Nogueira.
