«Rota Literária de Cascais» : um projecto em construção com a Câmara Municipal de Cascais

Abstract

O turismo literário é uma vertente do turismo cultural cujo vasto potencial continua pouco explorado em território português, pese embora a riqueza literária do país. Veja-se o exemplo de Cascais que, para além de destino turístico consolidado e reconhecido pelas suas praias desde a viragem do século XIX, reúne igualmente um património literário substancial por rentabilizar. O presente relatório refere-se ao estágio curricular realizado na Câmara Municipal de Cascais, que resultou na construção de um projecto de turismo literário intitulado «Rota Literária de Cascais». Concluiu-se essencialmente que a desarticulação verificada entre as entidades culturais e as do turismo, previamente apontadas em investigações sobre o assunto, se estendeu ao seio municipal, embora exista espaço para melhorar esse diálogo.

Literary tourism is a branch of cultural tourism whose vast potential remains little explored in the Portuguese territory, despite the country's literary wealth. Cascais, for example, in addition to being a well-established tourist destination and renowned for its beaches since the turn of the nineteenth century, also has a substantial literary heritage to explore. This report refers to the curricular internship held at the Municipal Council of Cascais, which resulted in the construction of a literary tourism project entitled «Rota Literária de Cascais» («Cascais Literary Route»). The main findings of this report also portray the disarticulation between cultural and tourism entities, previously pointed out in investigations on the subject, and which seem to have stretched to the municipal area. Accordingly, there is still plenty of room to improve this most needed dialogue.
